It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ustad Zakir Hussain, a true maestro who redefined the art of tabla, transcending genres and connecting Indian classical music with audiences across the globe. His rhythms spoke a universal language, touching hearts and bridging cultures. Throughout his life, Ustad Zakir Hussain was not only a brilliant performer but also a humble teacher, dedicated to mentoring younger generations and fostering a love for music.
Performing Arts Center has had the distinct honor of presenting Zakir Hussain multiple times in recent years, where his spellbinding performances captivated audiences and created unforgettable, soul-stirring experiences. His unparalleled mastery and humble artistry will forever remain a cherished chapter of our performing arts center.
Ticket holders will be notified by email as soon as details are finalized and have several options:
- Keep your original tickets and seating locations for the new event. No action is required.
- Request an account credit or refund by emailing tickets@soka.edu .
- Email should be sent from the ticket purchaser with the subject “Zakir Hussain’s Masters Of Percussion – Account Credit or&Բ;ڳܲԻ”.
- Account credits and refunds will be processed starting on January 6, 2025.
